<p>This thread is pretty informative. I attended one and I got in, though I seriously doubt my attendance had anything to do with it. I agree with the posts in this thread which describe the programs as a way to demonstrate interest in your intended field and also to learn more about the school. I definitely wouldn’t drop one or two thousand dollars in the hope that it might increase your chances of getting in.</p>
