I'm a senior and I just got three midterms in the mail, with about a week left of school. My parents are freaking out a bit but I'm not really worried. Should I be worried?

Here are my grades:

1st/2nd/Midyear/3rd
Latin H - B/C+/B-/C
AP AB Calc - B/C+/F/C
AP Stat - B/B-/C-/C
Band C - A-/A-/C/B+
English H - B/B/A-/C+
Physics H - B/B/B+/B
Psych - A-

The midterms are in Latin (D+), English (D+) and Physics (F).

Modest prediction of overall grades:
Latin H - C+
AP AB Calc C+
AP Stat C+
Band C - B+
English - B-
Physics H -B-
Psychology C - B+ or A-

So, theres no chance that I'd get anything lower than a C or C+, but its an obvious drop from when I submitted my midyear report. What do you guys think? And if any current students could find out from administration/adcom, that would be gravy.

I think as long as you don’t get any Ds or Fs, you’ll be fine. They will however rescind your admission if you get caught drinking/doing drugs/doing other stupid stuff during CI- so don’t do that! haha

Will a D be grounds for rescinding? My mom lost her job so I had to pick up a job waiting tables and the hours are ridiculous (I get home around 1am Tues-Thurs). I have done terribly in my honors Calc class as a result, and I’m definitely getting a D. Do you think I’ll get rescinded?

Since the admissions office will receive the D without explanation unless you tell them your situation, you may want to call them. This would put your grade in terms of your late night work. In any case, SPEAK TO YOUR HS COUNSELOR FIRST ASAP for advice!

After being admitted ED, I got a “D” and “C” in the same semester after a death in my family, and GW did not rescind. However, I was admitted to the class of 2014, so I don’t know if things have changed.

I am a senior in high school and I have been accepted ED I to the ESIR at GW. Im considering outright dropping my physics class because I really hate it very much. I don’t need it to graduate and my grades otherwise are all A’s or B’s like they have been through out high school. What are the odds of my acceptance getting rescinded if I do drop my physics class?

IDK I dropped my AP bio Class after I got accepted to my EA schools and they don’t care that much. As ling as you explain it but you would more of a reason than you hate the class. Like having a mentally breakdown…death in a family or an illness would be the only ones I think would be taken into consideration
