Does hand scoring of an essay include a regrade and a reread?

The question is self-explanatory. I've heard different responses about this. My essay grade was obviously bs, and I'm pretty sure if someone looks over it again, they would give me a higher grade.

You get a reread, and if they feel it is innacurate they will change it.

no, that's wrong...the hand-scorer will not even read the essay over again, the essay score is final, whatever you received does not change...the reason i am positive about this is because i earned a 12 on my essay, and when i called for hand scoring i made it clear to the representative when i asked, "do you guarentee me the essay score WILL NOT change?", and he said "yes".

There is a separate service for essay score "verification" that is different than MC hand scoring. I would call in and ask about the essay verification process, not the MC hand scoring process (essay score is not checked during hand scoring process).

You can get your essay regraded. "hand-scoring" is where they go through all your bubbles and see if they match up. Two different things.
