Does Harvard-Transfer require an interview?

I'm a new comer here at CC so please excuse my vast ignorance. I'm applying to Harvard as a transfer student (aren't we all?) I want to know does Harvard-Transfer require an mandatory interview for transfer applicants?
If so how much does it weight in your overall application?
Does poor, mediocre and excellent candidates get interview regardless? Or is only borderline candidate, who could go either way, get interviewed? Any kind of help will be greatly appreciated, thank you.

I hope you didn't you use that kind of grammar in your application.

LOL! Of all the terrible grammar mistakes in CC land, renix had to go for the newb. And his/her grammer isn't that terrible; just add in a few commas and use a few more conjunctions. And also, what is with the "an?"

To answer fanaticsim's question, Harvard does offer interview for a selective group of transfer applicants. I don't know how large this group is or what's the percentage of those who got interviewed compare to those who applied. The rumor around CC is that those who get an interview are interesting candidates and Harvard wants to make sure that you match up with your application. My gut instinct tells me that if you got asked for an interview, then you definitely did something right in your application, which hopefully is cleared of grammatical mistakes.

It probably doesn't mean it's 100% "you're in" invitation, but the worse you could do now I guess is being waitlisted.

I'm not one to pick on grammar but if you applied to Harvard with that grammar you don't need to worry about an interview.

"an mandatory"
"how much does it weight"
"does...candidates get interview"
"or is only borderline candidate.. get interviewed"

Needs more than commas and conjunctions!! lol

If English is your second language that's cool though.

Thank you for your replies. And yes, renix is correct, English is not my native language. Verb-subject agreement is something I need to work on.

Ok then, I apologize!

When I applied to transfer to Harvard, I was interviewed, and I eventually got in, so fanaticsim could be in luck.

Did fanaticsim get an interview? I must have missed that.

I read somewhere that half of the interviewed applicants get in, and that they only interview first-time applicants.
