Does having an MS help even if pursue career in a differentfield?

I'm currently in a grad program for Physics and I had enrolled with the intention of getting a phd. However, I have decided that I don't want to stay in grad school that long and I also really do not like my program (for personal reasons), so I want to drop out with a master's or take a leave of absence

I don't know what kind of job I'd want to apply for after I get my master's or if I take a leave of absence now, but I will probably look for programmer/software engineer jobs. I may also consider actuary, statistician, analyst, or materials engineer positions. I can see how having an MS in Physics helps for the materials engineer jobs. But is having an MS over a BS in Physics really advantageous when I apply for programmer, actuary, statistician, or analyst positions?

The other reason why I see how having an MS is better than dropping out is because I will avoid having a gap in my resume.

Also, for personal reasons, I will look heavily into finding a job in Asia, such as in Japan, Hong Kong, China, Sinagpore, etc.
