does it help..?

I am applyin as a transfer to Brown, Columbia, Penn, among some others such as Chicago (accepted already) from Cornell.

that my SAT 1 score is significantly higher than the mean of transfer students at all of these schools?

I'm guessing that it matters how long you've been out of high school and what college experiences you have, but I'm not certain. Calling the admissions offices could help.

Random question, feel free to answer or not answer: Why leave Cornell?

SAT scores aren't nearly as important for transfers as they are for freshmen. The most important part of the transfer application your college GPA. It also depends on what courses you took. Teacher recs and essays also play an important part. HS GPA/rank are also requested, but don't play as much of an important role in the transfer process. A high college GPA will do alot to cover a crappy high school record. It's not the same the other way around; a mediocre GPA wont get you into any top school regardless of you high school record.

I know this because I once was a transfer student, and I work with the admissions office of my school.

The entire Cornell community supports you, bball.

i am applying for sophmore year, and I plan to have around a 3.5-3.6 for my first semester, and remember this is Cornell here (really grade deflated) and i am taking biology 101 and lab, MAD HARD.
