I'm just wondering if multiple people from your high school apply to the same college, does it have a negative effect on the less qualified applicants?

For instance, about 50 kids from my HS applied to UDEL, will they only accept they only accept a certain amount from my school?

They will probably take a percentage of the kids, although what I am not sure.

There is a plus and minus side to having kids apply to the same school as you. The negative is that in sheer numbers, your percentage of getting in is less. The positive is that if you are one of the more qualified applicants out of the group, you will stand a far better chance of gaining admission compared to a small number of applicants from the same school.

I go to a much smaller school than you, total of 75 kids a grade, and we had 7 apply early to Brown. 3 Accept, 2 Defer, 2 Rejections. That is just about the split it should be with that number.

In your attempts to gain admission to colleges, do not be concerned with other people. Try only to make your application the best it can be and hope for the best.
