I’m in AP English 12, IB European History, AP Biology, AP Calc AB, AP French IV, and IB Theory of Knowledge. I don’t study at all, and all my grades are A’s except for Bio (close) and History (C…). I suppose you could say it “comes naturally” for me, but history is just by far my worst subject. But I can get an A in most classes with little to no effort.

Humanitities and the social sciences come easily to me. English, lit, foreign language, econ, etc. are advanced common sense. I never study for those classes and can still stay on top of everything. Math, science, programming…not so much.

I think that’s just life, some people are academically strong without having to put in all the effort. There’s a guy I know who has skipped a grade or two (depends on the cut-off date), has won a bronze in the International Chem Olympiad without having studied more than those who did not make the team and without test prep scored within the 99th percentile of the UMAT (medical school admissions test for Australia/New Zealand).
But the majority of us don’t seem to be like that.
I find most of the writing part of English easy and a lot of Social Studies comes naturally to me though I think that could be because I am generally interested in world events and history and have read/researched a lot about it in my own time.
