i know you can submit the act with writing instead of the sat, but does it look bad to admissions officers to only submit the act and not include the sat as well ?

It depends where you live, I took both the ACT and SAT and submitted both. However, I have a lot of friends from the Midwest area, specifically Michigan and Illinois, and they never took the SATs and no one in their schools does. But if you are on the east coast basically everyone takes the SATs so it may look suspicious.

UVA strongly recommends the SAT II's anyway, so no matter what they will see your scores from SAT and SAT IIs. But i think on a whole, admissions officer's dont really care. If you score better on the ACT than SAT, then they will use ur ACT score or vice versa. How would it look suspicious??

I'm from Indiana and I only submitted my ACT. I know they "strongly recommend" SAT IIs, but I didnt send any in.
