Does it look bad?

So I heard for transfer applicants, some schools like University of North Carolina, Michigan, Boston College, Colgate, and Vassar recommend SAT II Subject Tests although SAT I plays a bigger role in admissions.

My question is if you submit at least 1 or none to those schools as a Spring-Sophomore transfer, a semester before Junior Year, would they count in Subject Tests to the weight? Is it really important after getting really good College grades?

Can somebody answer me?

If you’re a junior transfer, I wouldn’t sweat it. To be safe, contact the admissions office (though they’ll probably just regurgitate that it’s “recommended”).

As a junior transfer, most schools only look at your college record. However, just to be sure, I would call admissions for each school and check. Sometimes an individual school have their own policies that don’t coincide with the majority.

I was accepted for Spring admission as a second semester sophomore with stellar SAT scores, but without SAT II scores.

Most of the time if you’re wondering if it looks bad than it probably does. In this case you don’t really have to worry. You are already almost a Junior and your courses will weigh more than your SATs

Ok. I’m not going to present anyone’s accurate information or mine here.

Let’s pretend you had an 85 or 86 average from HS, and SAT score was around 1700-1800, and 1 SAT Subject Test was around 550-600.

Does that mean you can “wipe-out” your past by doing very well in college with good ECs + summer credits to attain more than the minimum of credits most students have and then try transferring into your top-choice school? With schools that have small number of transfers around 100, will they still give you an advice on how to transfer in for that time if you listen to the right direction that one of the reps. is leading you?

Has anyone ever felt that rising junior or exact junior standing found it difficult to build relationships with people when they transferred in?

^ Hello, anyone?
