Does it look like I "gamed"

Hello!

So I’m a junior and I took the SAT in October and November. In October I got a 2290 with 790 CR 710 M and 790 W. Then November I got a 2310 with a 750 CR 800 M and 760 W.

Between these tests I did focus on studying math just because I want to do engineering, but I continued to prep overall like before (especially with vocab) and on the actual test I tried my best in all the sections. I’m scared it looks like I was gaming the system though because my other two scores dropped a fairly decent amount on my second test.

Will this look bad when I apply to schools?
Thank you! I know I’m probably overthinking

Nobody expects you to maintain a 790 or 800 over multiple tests. At that level it could be the difference of one or two questions.

No, I don’t think this will look bad when you start applying to colleges. Scores can fluctuate; it can be inferred that you heavily focused on the math section because you wanted to raise your score, and as a result, your other sections’ scores decreased. I wouldn’t worry about this if I were you. Colleges aren’t going to dissect your score and wonder why your M score improved while your other scores did not. It’s great that your overall SAT score improved!!

Nope. It looks like you did very well. Now stop. If you keep “trying” to improve on one section or for perfection after a 2300+, then it might be seen as gaming, or more likely a waste of time.

Great work!!

That’s a relief! Thank you everyone!

Your superscore (where you can use it) is fantastic! Chill.
