Does it make sense for someone who wants to be a doctor, that is, major in prehealth or premed or medicine to go to Princeton University? Or is it better to go to a schoo like Columbia where there is a great focus on prehealth and a special prehealth program? Does a good number of Princeton University graduates go on to medical school?

yes, princeton has a very good med placement (one of the top in the country) as well. most major in sciences like biology.

id suggest you go to this website:
http://web.princeton.edu/sites/hpa/2004.pdf

it has the statistics comparing princeton to the national averages...which are much higher.

No official premed program but great advising.

And another thing: does the core curriculum include a lot of classes special to Princeton, that is, that other colleges wouldn't require? Is there an emphasis on business or law?

I'm sorry, what core curriculum?

As an A.B. student, which I am assuming you will be doing, unless its BSE with like biochem engineering? but the general requirements to graduate are as follows:

Writing Seminarone course
Foreign LanguageThis requirement can take one to four terms to complete, depending on the language students study and the level at which they start.
Epistemology and Cognition (EC)one course
Ethical Thought and Moral Values (EM)one course
Historical Analysis (HA)one course
Literature and the Arts (LA)two courses
Quantitative Reasoning (QR)one course
Science and Technology, with laboratory (ST)two courses
Social Analysis (SA)two courses

As you can see, you are required to touch open a number of different fields =P

Well, I never really considered that a "core" since core, to me, meant specific classes that are required. No one class is required at princeton, even writing seminars have different topics, and no, I don't think there is a business/law focus.

yea i dont really think they are core classes either, more like general ed requirements
