Does it matter if i go over the word limit?

<p>one of my essays will be about 300 words, the other is 600 and 200. So it totals out to 1100 words. IS that ok?</p>

<p>don't think it's supposed to go over 1000. mine was about 970 total.</p>

<p>Yeah, 1100 is way too much. Stick around 1015 or so like sarah said.</p>

<p>the cut off for each essay on the UC pathway is 630, 230, 230. They wont let you submit with anything higher. Also if you copy and paste from a word processer, the UC pathway thing adds some words to the word count for some reason.</p>

<p>It adds words for contractions. Instead of "I've" being one like in a word processor it counts as two. I think that's how it works anyways.</p>

<p>yes, the system counts contractions as two words, which, in fact they are.....</p>
