For those of you in SoCal, I'm going to Orange Coast College full time. I also go to Coastline for winter and summer classes. OCC and Coastline aren't offering many good Poli Sci prereq classes I need to take, so would it matter if I take some at Irvine Valley College?

I've asked a few schools about this. They've told me to take classes where I feel I'll get the most benefit, especially if the classes will help you get into the schools you want.

To complete the classes necessary to transfer for my desired major/school, I had to take classes at two CCs, because one didn't have everything I needed.

Daughter ended up taking classes @ 4 community colleges. It doesn’t matter when you are ready to transfer, the application process allows you to add all schools attended. The only downside to attending so many schools…ordering transcripts from all 4 schools and sending them to all the different schools she applied to as a transfer. Applying to 5 schools required requesting 20 copies of transcripts.

short answer is: no.
