I've noticed that Williams only requires 2 (well..most schools do so). But I've asked 3 teachers to write reference letters for me( one counselor, one chemistry teacher + school vice president, and one Grade 11 English teacher)
Will my chance be hurt because of sending Williams 3 instead of 2?

most likely not. and that goes for any school. i applied to several higher tier LACs with 3 recs and got admitted to a couple.

i think the most important thing is that each rec discuss and highlight a different academic and personal side of you. your 3 sound fairly diverse. i had one from a lit teacher, art teacher, and spanish teacher.

i really wouldnt worry about it.

Thanks for your input! Another question is that I am using the online commonapp system and finding only two recs can be submitted online. Does it mean I should send the paper version of my third rec to Williams? Or should I send all paper recs to the school instead of a mix-up?
