Does it matter if the major I wrote about in Why Chicago wasn't my first choice major

<p>I put my 2nd choice major as economics and submitted the common app, but I realize it's my first choice now. In my Why Chicago essay I only talked about econ and not my first choice major (by the way, is econ impacted). Should I email them saying that econ is my first choice major now?</p>

<p>I wouldn’t worry about it - You aren’t by any means committed to the majors you write on your applications. If you’re really concerned, let them know, but I wouldn’t worry too much about it.</p>

<p>Don’t worry - I think “impacted” exists mostly in the University of California system, though some colleges have special majors you have to apply for, I can’t imagine economics being one of them.</p>
