<p>does it matter that i got a 2 on my ap french test? i was going to take the placement exam anyway but im not sure if getting a 2 as a score will hurt me any more than if i withheld that score and didnt turn in a score for ap french test at all (although i did write in my app that i would take it). if i do well on placement exam, will they not put me on a lower level than i should just cause of that french score? </p>

<p>If you do well on the placement exam, they’ll put you in the right class. To my knowledge, unless you receive a 5 on the AP French Exam, it doesn’t matter what you get because a 5 is the only score that will get you placement credit (other than Princeton’s own placement exams).</p>

<p>No, it won’t. You can still take the placement exam to get into a higher level course.</p>

<p>does anyone happen to know when placement exams take place? is it after we get on campus? i ask because i know some of my friends at different colleges have taken placement exams already</p>

<p>While that site doesn’t indicate the placement test dates, the Spanish department site – [Spanish</a> Language Placement Test](<a href=“http://www.princeton.edu/spo/undergraduate/language-requirements/placement-test/]Spanish”>http://www.princeton.edu/spo/undergraduate/language-requirements/placement-test/) – states the dates for the test are from July 15 to August 15, 2009. </p>
<p>It’s probably the same or similar for the other language tests.</p>
<p>“If you did not take an AP or SAT II test, or earned scores below 5 on the AP or below 760 on the SAT II, you must take the online Placement Test online before enrolling into a French or Italian language class.”</p>
