<p>They say they dont look at the major you put on your application...then why do they ask for it? </p>
<p>would it be good or risky to put something that interests me (classics: greek) but dont have any background in (ex: clubs, etc)? </p>
<p>If I didnt put greek, I would put sociology, a widely chosen major...</p>
<p>btw- im not applying for engineering school or anything, and the particular UC's im wondering about are UCLA and UCB...</p>

<p>No, your intended major does not at all figure into your chances of admission unless you are applying to HSSEAS or a college aside from L&S.</p>
