<p>I'm having trouble deciding whether I should take AP Statistics or AP Calculus AB and was wondering which one would be more beneficial or if it really mattered at all. Also, I've noticed that alot of the applicants have taken AP Calculus BC. My school offers it as a class but has AB calculus as a prerequisite. Will it count against me if I dont take Calculus BC?</p>
<p>AP Calculus AB is generally considered more rigorous than AP Statistics, so I assume that signing up for the former would be better as long as you earn the same grade. Not taking BC will not be held against you if you are unable to under your circumstances.</p>

<p>If you’re applying to top level schools and your school offers a rigorous class, you should take it.</p>
