I'm a physics major that wants to go to grad school for engineering. Would it affect my chances if I did physics research as opposed to engineering research in undergrad or vice versa?

I don’t think so. Some engineering research is essentially applied physics anyway. Experimental physics is probably closest to engineering. I think grad schools are only interested in whether you have done research, period.

Are you a physics major at Mizzou?
