does it matter when to have LS discussion/TA?

is there any specific things due in discussion for LS? (EX: chem has quizzes, which sometimes DO depend on TA's).

Which LS? If I remember correctly, the discussions are actually considered labs, or they’re held in a lab or some bull.

LS1 sections - absolute bull. The TA told us himself. We touched starfish and leaves and were quizzed on the ****e in our lab manuals, so you have to read it beforehand. Hm. I think we even toured Botanical Gardens.

LS2 sections - every other week we sat in a lab and did stuff like torture goldfish with chemicals and dissect rats. Hey actually that was pretty awesome. On non-lab weeks we sat in a classroom while the TA tried to cover two weeks’ worth of ****e before people started leaving out of exasperation around the 1.5 hour mark.

LS3 sections - the worst! Every other week we went in a lab. We swabbed our cheeks to run a gel and analyze our DNA to see our maternal lineage by the end of the quarter. I skipped discussion on non-lab weeks because i would fall uncontrollably asleep.

So um, yeah. Discussions and which TA you get are important. If possible, attend your friend’s discussion if they have a TA that explains things better on non-lab weeks.

LS 2. Thanks for the info!
