Does it matter where you get your certification from?

I am a recent graduate from UCSD with a degree in psychology, unsurprisingly I’ve had a tough time finding work with my major, i however do not regret studying psychology as i learned a lot and enjoyed my studies since that subject is what i was most passionate about in school. now i’m trying to find a career i’d like to go into, i’m thinking either business analyst or human resources, but even here its been difficult finding even opportunities to get an interview. it seems that since i don’t have prior experience in either i am not very valuable to the companies. so i thought that maybe getting a certification in one of those fields would help improve my chances of landing a job. So my question is does the place i get my certification from matter at all. for example if you are a computer science major you want to got to MIT or UC Berkeley because these are tech heavy schools and having a degree from that school on your resume is more appealing to hiring managers than if you got a CS degree from a CC or a state school. my question is do certificates work the same way, does the name of the institution carry any weight for certificate programs, or does having a certificate from any institution just about the same to employers? Ideally the most convenient way would be getting it online, (since i’m currently working part time) but if a brick and mortar institution holds more weight then i would go there. and does it matter what brick and mortar i choose like UC Berkeley extension over Villanova University?
