does it matter where you go for pharmd?

Does it matter where you go to get your pharmacy degree? I've heard several times that it doesn't really matter.

Just as long as it is accredited some schools are more researched based but you are learning basically the same thing in my opinion. At the end of the road you will have to take the NAPLEX just like other pharmacy majors from other schools, so in the end what you put in is what you get out.

There are different programs offered at different schools i.e. joint degrees, 2+4, 0-6, it depends on what interests you.

When you go to the pharmacy, do you look at the guy/gal’s diploma before handing over your Rx?

I guess the question might be…is it harder to get hired as a pharmD based on where you went to school.

right now no but in the future it may be

I think where you get your degree more defines where you will be employed. Hiring of pharm grads seems to be relatively local.
