<p>My name is also often a man's name (the difference being in the spelling between male and female), and it hasn't mattered in the least. Except when I was 18 - I got a reminder to register for the draft! And that was way back when the draft meant something. I had to send in my birth certificate showing I was female before they'd let me off the hook.</p>
<p>However, my alma mater sent me some fundraising materials addressed to "Mr." Needless to say, they didn't get my money - having gone there for a number of years, they should have gotten my gender correct!</p>
