I applied to University of Minnesota way back in September/October. I applied as a Computer Science major in COE which I know is probably the most competitive major at Uminn. I am just wondering, should I just assume that I have been rejected from Uminn? It has been a long time since I applied and many people I know have already gotten their acceptance even though they applied later.
I won’t be surprised if I have indeed been rejected because my stats were not up to par(but I have high SAT so I was a little hopeful). Do they send out their rejections later?
@KamandaLobomo I doubt they have rejected you yet. No one I have heard so far has been rejected. Usually rejections don’t happen until later on in the process. Most likely they are trying to get you into your first choice and are having difficulty maybe with your GPA or classes(I’m not positive). But saying you have a high SAT should help your cause. I honestly wouldn’t be worrying UMN has a weird way of doing admissions. But stay strong! I’m sure you’ll be alright, don’t stress!
Will your grades from this current semester potentially help you? If so, I would be sure to contact you admission rep after your grades come out to let them know how you did and your updated GPA, class rank, etc. and let them know you are still very interested!
