<p>I just got contacted by a Vassar coach.. asking me about me to further elaborate my experience and achievements in his sport...
He is currently trying to make up a list of potential players for the next season...</p>

<p>Does it means that he tries to find people that come to Vassar next year and are willing to join the team??? Does he know about the decisions or is he working independently from the admission office??</p>

<p>I find it quite weird.. as I am contacted so late in the admission process...
The decision are almost nearing...and he sends me so late the request</p>

<p>Coaches at other schools make contacts Feb/Mar. People still get in whether they are good enough for the coach or not. Coach is looking for someone good who might need a tip.</p>

<p>Coach called here too. They said they hadn't heard from the admins yet what the final decisions were.</p>

<p>Swim-their mens team is not very big and I think they are hoping to build.</p>
