I have read at a couple places that it is in your interest to talk to admissions officers. In my case, I am trying to get off a waitlist. First of all, how would I find out an email for my region's admission officer (at harvard, mit, or pton), and do you think it would be more helpful or annoying to contact them?

right now, they are probably getting hundreds of phone calls from hopeful waitlisters as yourself... it never hurts, but the chances are it will go slightly unnoticed. However, if you report somehting new and exciting on your application, then you might stand a fighting chance.
