Does it really hurt my chances if I don't take the full four years of spanish? I've only taken 3 years so far.

Also if you'll take the classes during your second semester of senior year- does it still count within your 4yrs?

from what ive seen, a foreign language is pretty important if you're applying for a bachelor of arts...its less important for a bachelor of science degree

Think about what Princeton is getting at by recommending four years of a foreign language - a global perspective, linguistic skills, etc. Have you pursued these advantages in other ways - through other classes, or volunteerwork, or clubs?

It won't be a show-stopper, but don't totally ignore what Princeton is getting at.

Also, be sure to clarify if you're not taking four years because of a scheduling issue. That's different from you choosing to take another course instead of further pursuing a foreign language.
