Does it really matter that much?

I am a junior now.
My GPA is 4.0
I got 2230 on my SAT1
And 780,780,780 for SAT2, math,phy & che.
One thing I'm really worried about is that my school doesn't offer any AP courses. I take the hardest courses in school though.
Now I plan to transfer to a big school and take APs in my senior year.
Does it really matter that much if I didn't take any APs in my junior year to those IVY schools? Or colleges can understand I didn't take it because school didn't have it?
Thank you.

Not all schools offer the same opportunities, so yes, adcoms will understand. However, since you'll be at a new school, your new GC probably won't be familiar with the course offerings at your new school, so you might want to ask him/her to attach a note explaining your lack of APs junior year.

and if you are at your new school, can you keep up you ec's, get the recommendations you need

if your school doesn't offer the classes, the admin people won't hold it against you

You want to also make sure that you can take the APs at the new school, many schools have prereqs

If you are just transferring to take some AP classes, think about all you are losing- friends, ECs, connections, prom, lots of things that make SR year fun, for some classes that may not matter in the long run

Don't transfer. Take some classes at community college or local universities instead.

Colleges will understand that you have taken the toughest courseload available.

Well, I need to transfer because my family is moving to another state.
So I have to leave my current school anyway.
I was born in USA, then I spent 6 years in France, 8 years in China. I just moved back in my junior year. Does it also affect my profile? Because they can only compare my junior year grades with others.

make sure that you have your transcript along with your school profile sent to the new school, and that you get a copy of each yourself.

When the new school sends in your grades from senior year, they will also send in your transcript from the other school

If you are worried, thenwhen you are doing applications, contact old school and have them send transcripts to colleges as well, along with school profile

they will put the pieces together

and btw, you did make it sound like you were wanting to transfer, thus our responses

clarity is important

You'll really have to prove yourself in your midyear reports.

okay, the college will look at all your transcripts, they do it all the time

so relax you are many who move around in HS...
