does it show up on your transcript if you check into rehab during college?

<p>as in if you have to drop your classes to check into rehab for drugs, will a "W" appear on your transcript or do colleges make exceptions for things like that?</p>

<p>i looked on my college website and it doesn't say. im at a community college though. im interested to know what is the general policy for this.</p>

<p>If you had to drop the classes, no matter what the circumstances, the classes will usually show up as a W on the transcript. If you retake the classes though, the W will sometimes be removed from the transcript, and replaced with whatever grade you get in the class.</p>
