Looking at Houston snowing again this year, wonder if Bama ever gets snow. Do you think they’ll get any this year?

It’s actually supposed to snow tomorrow here, haha.

montegut, each year there is usually a day or so that gets a dusting of snow that melts off by about noon. every couple of years there will be a “storm” that will shut things down for a while. as there is minimal/no snow removal equipment in most areas except cities, we just have to wait for it to melt. if there is a hint of snow in the forecast, schools will close, bread and milk will fly off the shelves, and then we wait usually to be disappointed that nothing materializes LOL. there have been about 4 bad storms that actually shut things down for days since we moved here 25 years ago, but they were really more ice storms, and the roads had to melt. my kids have had more snow days (often no snow, just the threat of snow)…, than i ever had growing up in canada with lots of snow. but i think each of my kids has a picture of their first snowman ie 3, with a measley snowman, and bare grass around it.

We just got wrecked in Michigan. Some areas had anywhere from 6 to 10 inches. That’s one thing I wouldn’t miss if I go to UA. We have 4 more months of this crap.

I’m actually at Bama tonight. It may get some flurries tomorrow, but since Bama rarely ever gets any snow, whatever it gets, it won’t stick.

Last year, Bama got one morning of very light snow, but it was gone by about noon.

We got flurries last night!! Haha.

Other than two years in Florida, our boys have lived in Ohio, IN and Iowa. I was thrilled my middle son chose BAMA. This past winter, my son at BAMA called on a Sunday morning to tell us Tuscaloosa had about 2" of snow. He took lots of pictures of snowmen (and snow ladies) in all shapes and sizes. Students were having a blast engaged in snow ball fights on the quad. Some of the snow people were clothed in bikinis. What a hoot!
