I was just curious if this was fact or fiction. My son took his ACT test last weekend and I have heard rumblings that if you have special accomodations that the scores usually come out a bit later. It is not a big deal since he is a junior in high school, but I was wondering if this was indeed the case.
I know the essay score as well as the percentile score comes out later than the subscores and the composite scores. However, I have heard that the subscores and the composite come out later for students with special accomodations.
If this is true, I was curious as to why this is the case.
My son took it in October last year with writing - had some accommodations - he may have been one of the latest to get his scores - came in December. I hope you have a better experience.
I would depend on whether it was simply extended time testing (i.e., he took it the same day as everyone else, but had time-and-a-half) or if it was special testing, which is school based and administered any number of times during a 3-week period. The latter will take longer to get results back then the former.
