I really like IU and their business school and hope to get in direct admit. From what i've seen online you need a 1270 CR/M SAT and at least a 3.7 weighted GPA. My SAT is 1370 (760CR/610M) and my unweighted GPA is 3.56. I know my weighted will be above a 3.7 but my school will not weight my gpa. So my question is will IU reweight my GPA or if they don't do I look like a strong candidate to get in by petitioning? Thanks for any replies.

Advice: petition immediately upon submitting your application; as soon as permitted…just to be sure…

IU uses whatever GPA your school submits. If they don’t submit a weighted GPA than IU won’t weight it. There are just too many applicants for that. FYI–this has always been the case in the past–not reweighting GPA’s. I don’t think that has changed.

I think you could probably get direct admit via petition to Kelley with your stats. However, you won’t get the nine thousand dollar automatic scholarship from IU unless your school weights your gpa and it becomes 3.8+. (3.7+ for the four thousand dollar scholarship.) The admissions office is very strict about not making exceptions for the automatic scholarships.
