I'm an international school student.
We got a big problem here.
Some "private academies" provided a sample official test named
"DEC 05 real test", but it is proven to be exactly same as JAN 07 test.
Everybody is accusing the institution for providing the unreleased actual test. In other words, all students who attended the private institution was able to score at least 2300 (because the institution not only provided the test, but also released the answer and reviewed.)

Anyhow, my question is this; the institution is proclaiming that they only provided the test for the sake of practice, but I want to know the truth.

Does anybody hear know or recognize about the issue that JAN 07 test was exactly as same as DEC 05 test?

I don't think collegeboard is that stupid, but anyway.

college board will cancel all your scores most likely. If this is known to press, the institution will be in big trouble. Also there is a time difference with other countries. Australia will take the test 7 hours before the US so Australians can tell the US about the test and it could be the same.

It appears that it was the same test, or at least a ton of the questions were the same. Chicanery, flotsam, bucolic, mercurial, etc. were all on the Dec 2005 test. For CR, answers like "dry humor" were the same. ON writing the "hardly anyone" question was the same. ON math the Venn Diagram, the red, white and blue outfits, the long distance phone call, etc. were the exact same.......

that means that someone can take the test in december and order question-answer service and take the exact same test in january and get a 2400
not fair at all

I dunno guys...this all seems pretty f**ked up indeed, but what about that little statement we had to sign and the notice of "not talking about the test until results are posted" etc etc. Though I'm no lawyer, I think the ETS and Collegeboard will survive this little mishap because of that statement we had to sign.

Hehehe, thank god I'm done with testing, this sort of thing would drive me nuts, since you all know that collegeboard used the exact same test yet legally can't say anything because you signed that agreement on testing day saying you would never ever discuss the questions. Catch-22...

I can just foresee the newest studying method being: read over all old SAT discussion threads on collegeconfidential before test day.

not only do international students have copy of this test, but some private institutions.. basically SAT prep places also get a copy of these tests and distribute them for practice. Basically it's not just those small handful of kids who know, there are a LOT of people who knwo about this test.

Just a heads up--You know how rumors tend to get mutilated in the gossip network, getting twisted so that everyone hears a different story?

I think weird, weird rumors are spreading about this topic. Some kid in my 3rd period class announced that people had an unfair advantage because they got to see the answers from the Dec 2005 test on College-Confidential. I stopped him and corrected him, because his rant about those "cheaters on CC" was definitely not true.
