So I am planning to apply ED to JHU, and I am a little confused about their policy regarding SAT score deadines.
Due to some personal reasons I will be sitting my SATs in a little rush, sitting the SAT I in October and the subject tests in Nov.
I saw on the following on their website:
Although we cannot guarantee that November (ED) or January (RD) scores will arrive before the Admissions Committee evaluation, past experience suggests that scores taken on these dates usually arrive in time.
Johns Hopkins strongly recommends that Early Decision candidates complete their required standardized tests no later than October of their senior year. Regular Decision candidates should complete required tests no later than December of their senior year.
November (ED) or January (RD) scores will be accepted for those students unable to meet their test requirements by October (ED) or December (RD). In such cases, we encourage you to note your intention of taking the later standardized test(s) on your application. There is no need to rush your scores.
As they stated that they acccept Nov scores for those unable to meet their requirements by Oct, I assumed it would be fine but something made me check with JHU just in case. So I emailed them and they replied stating succintly that October scores will be the only ones they are willing to accept as ‘the November scores will arrive too late’
I have emailed them again to check but does anyone have any experience with this??
I am so worried now.
Thank you!
