Does JHU give preference to CTY attendees?

If I went to CTY all 4 years and took two distance courses with JHU, how much, if at all, does that work in my favor?

oHhh we've got a CTYer here! =P you guys swarmed Terrace!! (there were no more ice cream left for us! :'() hahaha i'm jus playin with you, honeyhazel. [[Don't you miss Montoya, the very happy terrace server!!??!!]] FOUR years? wow that's really commitment!

Hmm to the JHUer who answers her ques....would JHU give any preference to PreCollege attendees either? (2 years) Thanks!

No, special preference is not given to CTY alums in the JHU Admissions process. Typically over 50% of applicants have in some way, shape, or form been involved with CTY.

CTY does look good on your resume though as academic enrichment and that can always help.

(No special preference to PreCollege either, except the fact that your "likeliness to attend" is considered stronger.)

cty pride = ) lanc

i'm beginning to think that cty isn't that selective anymore. they are so many kids in cty these days and most of them are just those who went to one session. it's because of cty that i chose to ED at jhu
