I can’t find anything on their website saying they do. If they don’t require it, that would be such a relief.
And if they do require it, has anyone at kenyon ever had their admissions rescinded because of 8th semester grades?

All selective colleges do.
I was accepted under early decision, does that make a difference? On the website, I saw the transcript listed as a requirement for RD applicants but it wasn’t listed in the instructions for ED applicants.
They will require your final high school transcript once it becomes available.
@apple23 Source? They didn’t mention this to me anywhere and I can’t find it on their website.
Every college requires a final transcript. There’s a federal regulation that students without high school degrees can’t get federal grants or loans, so any school that participates in the federal financial aid system collects final transcripts as a matter of course to make sure everybody graduated.
Selective schools with long waitlists of motivated students may rescind, but otherwise they just care that you graduated.
Why don’t you call and ask if you want concrete proof? I’ll make a bet the answer is yes.

Would Kenyon be in this category?
@apguy17 Quite possibly, though I have no first-hand experience with the school. They have a 27% acceptance rate plus they took 15 off the waitlist last year according to Big Future.
@apguy17
My source is personal experience. My daughter is a first year student at Kenyon. She was required to submit a final transcript. Your high school will send it when final grades are in.
Every school will require your final transcript. They need to verify that you actually graduated.
Your high school automatically sends them to your college. As 123Mom456 said, for everyone, to every college.
Whether your high school sends it, or you send it, depends on your high school. Both my kids had to request it through Parchment, which is what their school used for college applications as well. The high school did not automatically send final transcripts without an “order” through Parchment. So, find out what has to happen at your high school and make sure you complete the process.
But yes, all colleges require final transcripts to prove the student has graduated. One or two Cs in the spring semester for an otherwise high achieving senior may get a raised eyebrow, figuratively, from Kenyon. Some students at some schools get warned. But the general consensus is, as long as there are no grades of a D or lower, no arrests, no suspensions, rescission is unlikely.
