I'm thinking about applying to Johns Hopkins, and was wondering how much legacy status can help (my father went to grad school @ Hopkins' SAIS). I know that it's an extremely competitive school, so I'm curious as to whether the legacy status could perhaps bring it down from more of a "reach" to a "match" for me. I'm interested in International Relations.

Brief stats: 3.7-something GPA at competitive public hs
2360 SATS (760 in math) and 730s on US History and Literature
Will have taken 7 APs by end of senior year
very good extracurriculars

Thoughts?
