not really useful, since FAFSA universities don’t meet need. Needing a lot or very little financial aid doesn’t really matter if the university has not committed to providing it.
(It could matter at CSS profile schools that are both need-aware and meed-need, but the info on CSS profile would go much more in-depth than the FAFSA, and require both parents’ income).
