So I want to be a vet, I was going to apply as a bio major in CALS but am now thinking of changing it to animal science. Is that admit rate for a less popular major like ansci higher than for bio? I am honestly interested in both and am just wondering if one would give me better chances

Yes, major does make a difference in CALS.

Yes. For example, AEM is probably the lowest admitted major in the entire university, and yet it’s in CALS, which has an overall admit rate of about 21%. Keep in mind, though, that it’s not as easy to change majors as it would be in CAS.
