Just a general question-

If one were to make a donation to UCLA, would it boost an applicant's chances of admission? If so, what would be considered a good amount?

If you made a big enough donation I'm sure it would. I mean if there is a building on campus named after you, that is going to be seen as a real positive. However honestly I don't really think it's going to help you unless you're planning to give a huge amount.

A minimum of $50k might get you on the radar screen, but a first gift of $1m will definitely get you noticed.

uh.... according to what i see while I'm at UCLA, any donation is going to help us out immensely. We are losing funding every year and we are almost depended on private funds according to my econ prof.

If you donated 2 million dollars, you will automatically be accepted without sending them an application
