Would studying for the Math IIC subject test be of some help on the Math Section of the Reasoning Test???

No, not really, math 2c is far more advanced in concepts that SAT reasoning. Both have a different scope, where math2 tests school, precalc like concepts, and sat1 tests logic and reasoning.

simple answer. No

Now don't go saying that it doesn't help at all! Some of the questions are irrelevant but it always helps to practice more. You'll get better at many of the skills needed for the sat (functions, geometry, graphs, word problems, number operations: HEY perhaps less dumb mistakes?), even if it is indirectly. Some of the 2C problems could be found on the reasoning test. After I took 2C, the reasoning test math seemed extreemly easy and I had greater confidence, speed, and accuracy. HOWEVER, should you study 2C just for the reasoning test-no. There are better things to study. But if you have to take 2C then it should help you math score just a bit.

Yes while the reasoning test tests logic and reasoning, which 2C can hardly prepare you for, you have to be able to actually DO the math, and 2C can help a little bit.
