Does McGill only care about the numbers???

I am an international applicant. Well, I am already done with IB Diploma and scored 32/42 in finals. I know that's damn low for McGill.
I wanna apply for Computer engineering and this chart (International Baccalaureate | Applying to McGill - McGill University) says a minimum of 33 is required. ****! does that mean I am screwed!!?!?
But I have pretty decent ECs. Are they gonna overlook it cuz I heard they only care about the scores? Oh and I also want to major in Mechanical engineering and for that a 37 is required. Do I still have any chance?

It is worth mentioning that I took Physics Chemistry and Mathematics at higher level. Now that's really tough. Lot of my friends took those at standard level and achieved much better grades. I am really disappointed cuz McGill doesnt care whether you take sciences and Math at HL or SL. For engineering only one HL sci or Math is required.

Lot of DUMBOS in my class took these at SL and scored like 39 IB points doing well in other subjects (let me tell you there's hardly any difference between HL and SL in language or humanities subjects). Why don't adcoms understand how difficult it is to score even a 5 in Maths HL than to score a 7 in English HL?

But I did comparatively very well in SAT
SAT 1: 2210
SAT 2: 800 Maths 2, 790 Physics, 790 Chemistry

Can't a good SAT score substitute for poor IB grades? And besides if McGill is too concerned about IB they should atleast understand the differences between difficulty level of subjects chosen at various levels. :(

Oh and most of the people apply with predicted grades and get accepted. I know very well I would have been predicted around 38 but, screwed up in finals for some reason. I know about lot of people accepted to McGill with high predicted grades but, they didn't do well in finals.

FML. PLEASE HELP! DO I HAVE ANY CHANCE?
and I apologize for writing such a long post.

If there is a minimum score required you cannot usually apply with a lower score. It is sadly one of those things you have to accept (I can’t apply to a program I love because of my class rank). I am not too familiar with the IB program but if it is possible retake the test. You can contact admissions (though I would not if I were you) or apply to a different program within McGill that has a lower score requirement.
