so may 1st came and went and i still was not sure if i wanted to go to mcgill or my state school. i said yes to both, figuring that i would know later. i pretty much decided on my state school and filled out all of their forms (residence and all that) and never said a thing to mcgill. mcgill hasnt called or emailed me anything and i never completed any of the residence stuff. do you think they know that i'm not going? this may sound silly, but do you think i still could go? i'm sort of just curious...

they probably think you are still going. If you didn't do residence, they probably just think your going to find an apartment of your own.

I would recommend calling them or something.

same thing's happening for me with Queen's. Got a welcome package from Queen's commerce in the mail today. Makes me feel bad for some reason.

ubc still doesn't know i'm not coming- but i did tell the residence people to give my spot to someone else on the waiting list... the "decline admission" form is still sitting on my desk, it's filled out but i can't be bothered to post it

yep same here for ubc..i keep getting mail from them and i always feel guilty reading it..thinking that some1 could be better off in my position. They can still give my place to some1 else in their waiting list after their deadline right? Cos the deadline is like early august i think.

one of our biology teachers switched from going to McGill to Queen's (when she did her undergrad) literally a week or two before school started. So, I guess it's ok. I'm hoping Queen's will figure it out when I don't pay the minimum deposit or whatever in August. They themselves even said that lots of people just don't show up in September.

hey bittersweet....how come ur teacher switched from McGill to Queen's ???

yea..I have no idea why. She always was a little quirky and out of the ordinary though. She appears very much to be a Queen's person.

it wouldn't be as easy to switch from Queen's to McGill right? Since frosh and the first couple of weeks would be long gone at McGill once Queen's started classes. I know I'm not making a lot of sense but that was just what crosses my mind.

I wish you could give me your spot. I'm SO regretting not seinding in two deposits, one to Georgetown (which I'm attending next fall). and one to McGill. I was scared that they somehow might find out and I didn;t want to waste the $200. I really want to go to McGill for some reason now.

Georgetown's a great choice. Once in a while I get a slight twinge of self-doubt when I hear about what the other schools that have accepted me are doing or where my friends are going, but I usually recover pretty fast knowing that I made a conscious decision to go to McGill. My friend just recently, like a couple days ago, changed his mind and switched schools. It happens, but most people are happy with their choices no matter where they go. Enjoy Georgetown, I'm sure they have a lot to offer. You can always come up to Montreal to party.
