Does Merrill Lynch recruit Ross BBA's?

I have been following the threads on what Wall Street firms recruit for Ross BBA's, it appears that Merrill Lynch is NOT an active recruiter? Is this true and why?

I presume Bearcat or Alexandre will know the answer to this inquiry.

Thanks

They recruit for corporate banking type positions on the boa side, and also a few middle office-ish tech positions, but no, not for investment banking

The reason is really the same reason any firm doesn’t recruit at a school - we have a pretty small alumni/inactive presence there for some reason

With the exception of harvard/wharton/princeton, i would be surprised if any school was visited by every top bank. Every other bulge bracket recruits here, most take 3-7 per year from ross, and every elite boutique also recruits here as well as all the top middle market firms. For my year, I also think credit suisse only recruited for chicago for ib (new york everything else), while other top firms had a new york option (with a few also recruiting chicago and even some west coast options).

BAML recruits for equity/fixed income research on campus. Got an offer for FICC research, which is also considered front office. Didn’t take it though.

BAML recruits @ Ross for Global Markets

"BAML recruits @ Ross for Global Markets "
no they didnt. at least i dont see it on impact

yeah, the only ross recruiting is for the positions i listed. more specifically, they recruit for corporate debt and global risk management (aka two positions that wouldn’t be highly desirable for most ross students).

"“BAML recruits @ Ross for Global Markets "

There’s Ross Senior who got the offer this year, so I thought they did.

ML is god awful! Makes sense now, that I know they have few Ross grads there.

They surprisingly actually posted on LSA for equity research

Ironically, Charles Merrill, one of Merrill Lynch’s two founders, was a Michigan alumnus!

“Spent time” at the law school. Not quite an alumnus…
