Does Miami rank those on the waitlist?

I heard sometimes colleges rank those on the waitlist, so I was just wondering if anyone here knew if they do or not.

on another paper that came with the waitlist letter in the mail, it was noted that “We do not rank the order of the applicants on this list unless a decision is made to select students.” so it sounds like if they actually do decide to use a waitlist - then after that decision is made they will rank the applicants before accepting them

They wait until they see how many admitted students actually enroll. Then they would probably look at things like how many of each major they have, how many urms, how many from around the country (world). They would then select students that help them to round out areas where they are light on students. There is NO way for you to tell how they will choose (if they do go to the list).
