Does anyone know of any MIT students who were accepted Early Action, then dropped out of high school at the end of first semester senior year to complete personal projects relevant to MIT's curriculum?

MIT does not have a requirement of high school completion BUT you are supposed to finish whatever you said you would on your application. If you are considering you should talk to MIT’s admissions office and see if they are ok with it. Also, I think some sources of financial aid require high school completion.

That has happened before where EA admitted students drop out of high school and take classes at local colleges instead. However, that was arranged with the admissions office beforehand.
