I got waitlisted at Gettysburg College. Does my ability to afford my college education affect my chances of getting accepted?

Also, I am an international student.

Yes.

If you can state “I would be full pay” (or better, have your GC subtly imply it, these financial matters should be handled delicately), you might have a better chance of coming off the waitlist.

They will “wait” to see how much FA $ is left. If none, they will admit people who don’t need it.
