Does My List Make Sense?

How about Rose-Hulman? Or are you averse to a school that small? Much, much better engineering than Dayton, and I think you'd be a nice candidate for merit $. Milwaukee School of Engineering and Case Western also throw around quite a bit of merit dough and are not too far away. If you want a larger school, how about Waterloo in Ontario? It is probably the premier engineering university in Canada, and Int'l tuition there is still way cheaper than OOS at most U.S. schools.

Just throwing a few ideas out there for you, as I think you could probably drop GVSU and especially Dayton from your list. Dayton is definitely a safety for you, not a match. You are underestimating your own admissions potential, I think.

For another affordable in-state engineering school, consider Michigan Tech. It has a good reputation for turning out quality engineers.
