Next year I will be a senior and I’m wondering if it is worth it for me to apply to top schools such as the Dartmouth, UC Berkeley, UCLA, Cornell, Rice, Georgetown, NYU Stern, Northwestern, Princeton, Duke, and UChicago.

- My main question is that if my low gpa my Freshman and Sophomore year ruin my chances at the top schools. I'm hoping the 4.0 in Junior year (and Senior Year) and my standardized test scores shows I can hold my own academically at these schools. I have gotten three amazing recommendations from teachers and my guidance counselor. Also my school is more academically challenging than most other schools. That has been recognized by college counselors from ivy leagues schools that have visited us to talk in seminars. I think we send about 50 kids to top schools every year.
